Titillating Thursdays: Leon: The Professional

The world is entering a new wondrous age in movies where directors are getting more and more liberal with the awe inspiring explosions and gallons of fake blood splattering in to every direction. Lovely. As fun as it is, not a lot of movies actually make the blood shed worth remembering.

What am I even talking about? Things blow up and people die then everyones happy right? Maybe. If it weren't for movies such as Luc Besson's "Leon: The Professional" making on screen simulated murder a sort of art. Starring Jean Reno as the socially backward assassin, a young Natalie Portman as a morbidly adult little girl and Gary Oldman in possibly one of his most intense antagonistic roles. Leon: "The Professional" delivers a straight forward gut punch of a plot with all the grit and suave a professional hit man can bring.

I'm trying to hold back as many spoilers as I can so ill just leave at "This movie sets the standard for choreographed violence" Enjoy.
