Music Fridays: Eminem - Recovery

They say the measure of a man's toughness is when he is able to muster up enough strength to get up on 'eight' after falling down 'seven.' That's exactly what Eminem came to prove with his latest offering. His 7th studio album, aptly titled "Recovery," was released worldwide more than a month ago, but has never left the Billboard top spot since then. Want proof? Since its release, the album has sold 1.5 million copies. Mind you, in the US alone.

Despite recurring appearances before courts, and being the subject of several controversies and the object of Mariah's (dis)affection, Eminem is able to rise above it all - and able to come up on top. In Recovery, the Slim Shady shares his most emotional sentiments to date with song titles such as "Won't Back Down," "Going Through Changes," and "Cold Wind Blows."

Listen to "Love the Way You Lie"

The album's current single, "Love the Way You Lie," which features an unlikely collabo with Rihanna, is currently dominating charts international and local alike.

Titillating Thursdays: Mindf*ck

Im sure yall know what movie is gonna be featured today. Yep, its Inception. Honestly, I havent seen it yet. Yeah I know, Im such a loser for not watching it yet. I hear its pure genius.

ANYWAY, I guess we can like commend Christopher Nolan, the director, for giving us such a wonderful film, though again I havent seen it yet, and for continuously improving himself. From Memento,to The Prestige, to The Dark Knight, to Inception, it was a pretty amazing ride, and its all thanks to Mr. Nolan. Im pretty sure Inception, from all the feedback Ive been hearing, will be one of the best movies of our time.

To all those who havent seen it yet, heres the trailer.

And since its MAXIMUM OVERLOAD WEEK this week, we will give you another movie that should be watched out for, though the DVDs already out in the States. Its CHLOE.

People say that youll get midf*cked when you watch Inception. Well boys, youll get eyef*cked when you watch Chloe. If you havent done your research yet, then let me tell you that there are a lot, and I mean, A LOT of NICE, yes boys NICE, scenes. And its Amanda OMGWALELELELE Seyfried. Haha. I know yall get it. Im assuming you got it. Haha.

Here's Chloe's trailer.

And to top this post off, heres one of the best (fake) commercials I have ever seen. BADOOOOOOBOOOOOOO.

Mapaglarong Wednesdays: Deadliest Warrior

Ok I MAY be cheating on this post. Maybe. Ok I am but just a little bit. It being maximum overdrive week, you, dear and powerful reader, must be given a double update to appease you but I figured out a loop hole.

So its two updates right? Would it be so bad if I do two updates about one topic? No? COOL! On with the show.

What would a bored history major do with a time machine and hundreds of square miles of epic battle grounds? Go back in time, collect history's greatest warriors and make them fighht to the death of course! Come on guys, that was an easy question.

Sadly, we are a long way from time travel although we've already come up with a lot of sweet uses for it like going back in time and befriending Jesus so that I can be in the Bible. Its a personal thing. Despite technological limitations, we can experience the nonsensical blood lust we have all been craving for.

Yeah baby! Leave it to TV. With the right amount of money, TV solves everything.

Deadliest Warrior is a "documentary" that simulates the greatest fighters of the past getting in to a fight no absolutely no reason asides from entertainment.

Like any good manly show, analysis of the two fighters is done by overweight badly dresses dudes yelling at each other and then they go beat the crap out of pig carcasses and ballistics gel.

Fighters range from Aztec warriors to gladiators to ninjas to pirates. I admit, it sounds a lot like the product of a creative mind from a previous post but hey. Its a tried and true formula.

Check out the warriors in epic over dramatized action.

Now I admit this is pretty crazy, shallow and dumb but it gets better! Or at least crazier, shallower and dumber. Naturally with the given amounts of testosterone, violence and simulated death, the next logical step would be to turn it in to a game.

Yes.

They turned it in to a game.

Sadly this will only be available to the lucky few with Xboxes through Xbox live. Lucky bastards

Tsibog Tuesdays: Dahil Kulang Ang Isa

May Extra Rice at Double Yolk Egg.

Pero Parang awa niyo na HUWAG NA HUWAG niyo gagawin ito!

Mukha bang tama yan!?!

Hindi lahat ng bagay, pwedeng double..

Macho Mondays: Debbie and Demmie Fermin

Today is the start of our Maximum Overdrive week where we will have double features every day. There is no better way to start this other than Macho Mondays!

This week on Macho Mondays, we pay a tribute to Spain for winning the World Cup as we head to Espana Boulevard, Manila to feature Debbie and Demmie Fermin from the University of Santo Tomas.

In case you haven’t noticed yet, Debbie (left) and Demmie (right) are twins.

Both of them are taking up pre-med courses. Debbie is a BS Medical Technology student while Demmie is taking up BS Nursing.

Aside from studying very well (both of them are dean’s listers), they are also into fashion and music. Debbie plays the piano and the violin. Demmie also plays the piano occasionally when she feels emo.

On a final note, Debbie is in a relationship while Demmie is still single.

Sunday Special: Axe Cop!

Ok so I log on to update the blog and OH NOES! its been tampered with. Now it is up to us here at bigscarymanster to formally address this issue. On the 17th of July 10, 7:34 pm, "Administrator" commented:

"We are shutting down this blogspot. Due to series of typhoons that hit us, and lost our home, we don't have any instrument to update this anymore. Thank you!"

REALLY NOW?! I mean to try and fake a blog shut down and not even do it correctly is just ridiculous. Of course were a bit pissed but were just going to laugh this one off. Its just how we roll. There are just so many things wrong with this I actually find it really funny and you, dear reader, should too. We just have to say:

Do not worry. The mansters are hard at work bringing you more manly man blog goodness as we go in to .......... MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE! I would love to say why but its probably best if you just find out for yourself.

ANYWAYS! Sunday Special is here!

Everyone is getting too smart nowadays going with their pseudo intellectual blah blah and actually intellectual blah blah. Sometimes its best not to over think things. At especially rare times its best not to think at all. Maybe like the time you were an over-imaginative five year old. One such rare instance is right >>HERE<<

These stories are honestly the most fun I've had by the power of an online comic. My personla favorite episode involves Axe Cop teaming up with two brother wizard ninja vampire warriors from the middle of the moon against a truck full of ninjas. No. No typos there.

Drawn by his 29 year old artist brother, 6 year old Malachai Nicolle's way off beat stories are just what we need to show us that children are the future and its going to be one hell of an awesome future. You can choose to either view episodes of his epic adventures or check out what he has to say to reader submitted questions and see how Axe cop lives out his daily life of bad-assness.

Enjoy and watch out for the MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE week to come.
